Kalamos Winery
Kalamos Winery is located in Amargeti village in Paphos region. The winery is owned by Mr Nicos Ignatiou who runs it together with his son Thanasis. The winery produces wines from Mataro, Xynisteri and Maratheftiko grapes.

Superb afternoon. Arrived at the winery and Thanasis and his father were extremely busy with a Tour of about 40 people. Once they had left, we were well and truly looked after…….tasted everything we wanted to try and ended up sitting with the local gents drinking zivania and being welcomed into the village. Such amazing hospitality.
Then left with a free bottle of the “Rodi” liqueur, a gift from Thanasis, and some money knock off our purchase!
Definitely worth a visit. What lovely gentlemen.
we were in Cyprus in 1986 and 1989 and stayed at Kalamos Court with HPB and were taken out in a speed boat and shown the hotels that Nicos and his brother were building. Is this the same family that we befriended.
