I called to see if I could visit the winery and a not so nice woman kept huffing and puffing about only accepting visits by appointment, when I was trying to explain to her that I’m calling to do just that. She seemed only interested in large bus groups because they are likely to make more purchases (we were only 2 ppl). I recommend you avoid this winery.
Dear Eddy, I can not believe the above comment and I think you must have misunderstood the entire conversation, which is a great shame as you have missed out on a wonderful opportunity. Vasa Winery is run by one of the loveliest families you could ever meet. There is not a profit-making or unwelcoming bone in their body, in fact the winery was built as a hobby and a passion for their village and wine. They are not in the business for the money and their every grape is handpicked with the dedication and professionalism that shapes their entire ethos. I would recommend this winery ten times over. I have taken friends, family and clients there for years and spent ample time with the owners. No-one has ever been disappointed and they always recommend small groups so that they can take the time to arrange tasting and chat to their guests. Gravely misinterpreted! Such a pity…
