Zenon Winery


Zenon Winery is located in Omodhos village in Limassol region and is run by Mr Nicos Zenonos. The middle sized winery owns eleven hectares of vineyards. Among their wine grapes is the Xynisteri.

  1. Perhaps you hadn’t looked after it. I’ve just opened and enjoyed a Mattaro – Grenacache from 2009. It was Intense individual and interesting. There were lees or dregs as you would expect in a bottle of good wine. (Is that what you mean by crud?) Stood for a while and then carefully poured (or decanted) the wine in the glass is much more rewarding than any wine you might buy in a supermarket in Finland. I hope to buy more from Zenon Winery in the future.

  2. The bottle nr 1764 of Βαοωφεια Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 was a big disappointment. I opened the bottle for our Christmas dinner in Finland , but the vine was spoilt. The vine was like vinegar and there was crud a lot in the bottle, so I had to throw it away. We visited the vineyard last September.
